A Heart Broken

My alma mater, Georgia Tech, just suffered a heartbreaking defeat. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory has never been easy to stomach, so I'm going to postpone today's writing to the afternoon instead of midnight.

  1. Sorry about that, I am SEC from birth, (Roll Tide!), but was hoping for GT to win. It is no consolation, but the new Tech uniforms are really cool. Yahoo! described them as "a mesmerizing honeycomb of awesomeness". I love college football but I am stuck up here in Massachusetts where they actually play high school ball on SATURDAY AFTERNOON, can you believe it? It boggles the mind.

    1. Ah, you guys are lucky. Saban's the best coach in college football. That is kinda weird that high schools play on Saturdays, though. But then again, that entire place is Pats country. It's not like people there root for BC or UMASS.

  2. True. It's all NFL up here. I live in Western Massachusetts, (The Berkshires), so it's Pats/Jets/Giants and to a lesser extent, Bills country. I was born and raised about 50 miles from Tuscaloosa, and had relatives on UA staff, so it was inevitable I'd be Crimson. My late wife, who was from here, was able to attend a Alabama game once and she was just amazed by it all. She was an easy convert to college ball.
